Each fall, the world’s greatest concentration of polar bears convenes at the edge of Hudson Bay, waiting for the ice to form and their northern hunting season to begin. Alternately regal and whimsical and always awe-inspiring, polar bears in the wild offer a natural encounter charged with drama and magic. On Natural Habitat's world-class
polar bear tours, we are able to approach them at close range in our custom Polar Rover vehicles without disturbing them, offering a chance for an incredibly moving wildlife experience. From our heated confines—or standing on outdoor platforms—we may see mothers with cubs, young males play-fighting, or a huge, solitary male ambling over the tundra.
Our flagship
Classic Polar Bear Adventure is an expertly guided small-group adventure to witness this extraordinary environment, accompanied by our professional Expedition Leaders who enhance your polar bear adventure at every turn with their in-depth knowledge.
And this fall, you will have the unique opportunity to join Patricia Schultz, author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, on a special departure of this classic adventure!
