Location of Adventure
Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Wyoming
Group Size Limit
Approximately 12 travelers
Small group sizes are the best way to experience nature, and this is especially true for our photographic adventures. With only 12 travelers, you’re assured of plenty of space and personalized attention when you need it. As a small group, we maintain the flexibility to adapt to changing conditions in a way that maximizes the photo opportunities – we'll depart early in the morning to chase the best light, remain at a site of specific photographic interest to fully explore the potential, or move to a new destination when desired. Our expert naturalist and accomplished photographer is always available to answer your questions, provide tips and techniques, and to help you better understand and photograph this amazing region of the world.
Our Specialized 4x4 Land Rovers and Land Cruisers
Our Private Leaders
Included
Accommodations, meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on final day, purified drinking water, services of NHA Expedition Leaders (specific leaders subject to change) and local guides, airport transfer on Day 1, most gratuities, all permits, entrance fees and taxes.
Not Included
Travel to and from start and end point of trip, alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, airport transfer on final day, items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes, optional travel insurance.
Physical Requirements
Easy - Moderate / Flexible
This adventure does not require a high degree of physical fitness, however, in order to be able to get off the beaten path for the best wildlife viewing, travelers should be able to walk at least 1-2 miles unassisted on dirt trails with potentially uneven terrain and inclines, at altitudes of up to 8,391 feet above sea level. Due to the altitude and terrain, hikes are considered moderate in physical exertion, though a fair amount of wildlife viewing takes place from our specially designed vehicles. We stress that all activities are optional.
Important Information About This Trip
Our Expedition Leaders, who know this area intimately, are adept at getting our groups to less-visited areas away from the crowds and we tend to run the trips when the parks are less crowded. But, of course, Yellowstone is a very popular destination, so be prepared for at least a fair amount of company. We operate this trip similarly to how we operate our African safaris: We visit wildlife locations in the early mornings, when viewing is at its best and most tourists are still asleep.
Mandatory Insurance
