Arusha, Tanzania

Arusha Coffee Lodge is an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate before or after your safari. This exclusive boutique hotel radiates the warmth and ambience of the old colonial homes historically distinctive to East Africa's coffee plantations. Accommodations are in individual plantation-style houses lavishly designed with glossy hardwood floors, canopied four-poster beds, Egyptian cotton linens, large bathrooms, split-level living room areas, and a private deck patio overlooking the coffee bushes. Laze around the swimming pool, stroll through the landscaped gardens and absorb the fragrant aroma of lavender. Enjoy a sundowner before the open log fireplace at the Safari Bar, then unwind with a quiet drink in the lounge after a delectable meal. Luxurious accommodations, warm hospitality, fine cuisine and intimate ambience will delight the senses of even the most seasoned traveler.

Namiri Plains Camp

Location
Serengeti, Tanzania

Namiri Plains Camp provides an exceptional experience of seclusion within the Tanzanian wilderness. Tucked beneath the shade of a copse of fever trees and surrounded by open plains dotted with acacias and dramatic rocky outcrops, the camp is the only one for miles around. Just eight tents are located approximately 50 feet apart from one another, offering the ultimate in private accommodations. Each has en suite facilities with flush toilets. The camp is run on solar- and generator-powered electricity and has battery-charging facilities for guests. Laundry service is also available.

Enjoying a superb location from which to watch the annual wildebeest migration, Namiri Plains also enjoys some of the best big cat viewing in Africa. These felines thrive here where great herds of game also flourish, nurtured by the Ngare Nanyuki underground river that creates pockets of permanent water that support year-round wildlife. Such close encounters with the Serengeti’s apex predators are sure to enthrall even the most seasoned safari traveler!

Natural Habitat's Migration Base Camp – Serengeti

Location
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Natural Habitat's Migration Base Camp is a deluxe mobile tented camp that travels with the natural flow of the wildebeest through the Serengeti ecosystem. From mid-December until mid-March the camp is ideally situated to intercept the migration in the Southern Serengeti. From May to early July the camp is placed in the Western Corridor to meet the migration on its turn north. From mid-July through to October the camp is positioned to intercept the migration in the Northern Serengeti. The camp’s mobility allows us to follow the herds, optimizing our chances to witness the migration and ensuring outstanding wildlife viewing at all times.

The camp is comprised of eight canvas tents with two lounge/dining areas. Each tent is either a twin or double (triples are also available) with toilets and safari-style bucket showers in en suite bathrooms. The open communal area surveys the plains, so you can enjoy wildlife viewing over a drink as you relax in the lounge or bar. The dining room, also set beneath canvas, offers a classic bush dining experience. And after dark, classic lanterns provide an atmospheric glow throughout the camp.

Guests will enjoy the ambience of this intimate, traditional canvas safari camp that's designed to provide a wild and authentic Serengeti experience as much as it does luxury and comfort. Our close-knit Tanzanian camp staff ensures that personalized hospitality, excellent food, and a warm, relaxed environment define the essence of our Migration Base Camp. And, since our staff follows the migration with our camp year-round, they are a font of detailed information about the wildlife and the overall experience.
