About Natural Habitat Photography Expeditions
Often, the first thing a traveler considers right after booking a trip is “what camera should I bring?" Let’s face it - nearly everyone wants to capture the spirit and essence of the places we visit. As would seem appropriate, the genesis for Natural Habitat Photography Expeditions was born in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on a narrow slice of single track trail just west of Boulder, Colorado. The best plans are often hatched far away from board rooms and cubicles, and this is especially true when the discussion is about how to infuse nature based travel with photographic guidance and instruction. Nathab founder Ben Bressler and local photographer Rich Adams made the commitment to continue riding their mountain bikes on these trails until a plan was hatched or they ran out of food. Lucky for both that a plan came together quickly - partly because the union made so much sense - Natural Habitat Adventures' philosophy of small group, nature-based travel made the perfect foundation for a new division at this important intersection of ecology and photographic exploration.
At Natural Habitat, we are “The Nature People.” We’ve been leading small group nature-based adventure travel around the globe for over 25 years, and in the course of these travels we’ve discovered some pretty amazing photographic opportunities. With Natural Habitat Photography Expeditions, we've taken this long history of experience and knowledge and crafted a number of photography-intensive expeditions to some of our favorite destinations. We have also recruited the expertise of the finest photographic guides from each of these regions, all of whom have a deep local knowledge that helps to enhance your connection to these wild places.
Please remember that first and foremost, these are nature-based trips. The group dynamics are an important element of the overall experience, therefore collaboration and cooperation are encouraged. We seek to establish a climate of exploration and learning as a group where our specialist guide and photographer is available to enhance your learning - both photographically and ecologically.
