Expedition Patagonia
An all-encompassing expedition into the best of Patagonia!
Trip Overview
- Walk on South America’s largest ice field in Los Glaciares National Park
- Look for whales, penguins, sea elephants and guanacos at wildlife-rich Península Valdès
- Cruise to the face of massive glaciers and watch icebergs crash into the water
Like Bora Bora or Kathmandu, the name Patagonia is evocative of the globe’s most exotic adventure travel destinations. Our Patagonia expedition to the remote southern reaches of Chile and Argentina fulfills that mystique. Distant and compelling, the Andes Mountains rise in spires to the sky, their sheer granite walls drawing the eye and the heart upward. Glaciers wind down in frozen rivers from the ice-crowned massifs, choking lakes and fjords with floating bergs. Despite the austerity of the landscape, this mountain enclave is home to a host of unique wildlife, which we encounter on foot and at sea. Join us on this Patagonia expedition through Chile and Argentina. From Peninsula Valdes to Fitz Roy Mount to Torres del Paine it’s adventure travel at its best.

Getting There & Getting Home As our lodge on Peninsula Valdez is several hours from the airport in Trelew, we are only able to provide one transfer for the group on Day 1. Therefore, please plan to take the Aerolineas Argentinas flight from Buenos Aires arriving in Trelew at 2:15 PM (as flight schedules can change, please call our office before confirming your flights if you are unsure). Early arrivals on Day 1 will have to wait for this afternoon transfer, and late arrivals will be responsible for paying for a private transfer to the lodge (approximately $275 per car, subject to change). You are free to depart El Calafate, Argentina, anytime on the final day. Flights leave El Calafate throughout the day and connect with overnight flights from Buenos Aires to the U.S. We can best serve you if Natural Habitat Adventures’ Travel Desk makes these reservations for you, as we are intimately familiar with the special requirements of these programs and can arrange the most efficient and cost-effective transportation. Please call us at 1-800-543-8917.
