Wild Panama

Trip Overview
-
Explore the Darién Jungle, a remote rainforest wilderness of astounding biodiversity
-
Look for brightly plumed quetzals and macaws in one of the world’s top birding locales
-
Cruise the Panama Canal on a private expedition boat with close-up views of wildlife
The emergence of the Isthmus of Panama over 300 million years ago remains one of the most significant events in the evolutionary history of the Western hemisphere. This integral land bridge has allowed thousands of different species to migrate between North and South America and is home to a staggering array of unique wildlife, paralleled by few places on earth. Unlike other more touristed Latin American eco travel destinations, Panama’s dense rainforests, misty highlands and pristine beaches remain largely unspoiled. Join us on this genuine natural habitat adventure to discover Wild Panama, the natural jewel in the heart of the Americas.

We suggest that any traveler who is concerned with his or her physical capabilities should contact our office for further details on the exact physical requirements of this trip, as well as a personal physician for his/her opinion.
Getting There & Getting Home
You should plan to arrive in Panama City on Day 1 before 6pm, since we will have a welcome/orientation dinner between 7pm - 8pm and then spend our first evening at a local hotel. On Day 12 of the program you are free to depart Panama City at any time, since we spend our last evening there. We are prepared to handle your round-trip travel arrangements from your home to Panama City. We can best serve you if Natural Habitat Adventures’ Travel Desk makes these reservations for you, as they are intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient and cost-effective travel.
