Sarah Raby

Raised in the Fox River Valley 40 miles west of Chicago, Sarah was centrally located to roam the U.S. at a very young age. Some of her fondest memories include her six-member family piling into a conversion van to explore as many national parks in a seven-day period as possible. She went on to study Communications and Biology at Northwestern University in St. Paul, MN. Upon graduation, being extremely tired of the long Minnesota winters, Sarah moved to Costa Rica. This sparked a passion for travel, language and culture that would take her to the remote jungle villages of Ecuador, medical missions in Bolivia, the beaches of Mexico and the Caribbean, the Canadian Rockies and Eastern and Western Europe. In 2004, Sarah obtained a TEFL certificate and taught English in the U.S. and abroad. Since joining the Nat Hab team in 2007, she’s developed an endless appetite for all things Africa and she continues to delve into the wildlife and culture of this vast continent at every opportunity. In her spare time, you can find her practicing yoga, experimenting in the kitchen, with her nose in a book, or planning her next trip with her husband and two kids.
