Jeannette Osterweil

Jeannette was born and raised in San Francisco and spent summers traveling to national parks throughout the U.S. on family road trips. While she has many fond memories of these adventures, her true love for travel was sparked after two 4-week-long cultural immersion and volunteer trips to Fiji and Costa Rica during high school. She furthered her travel interests while studying Sociology and African Studies at Colorado College, where she was fortunate to study abroad in Senegal and Botswana. Some highlights from that experience include extensively exploring the countries and their amazing wildlife, learning to speak Wolof and Setswana, volunteering at an orphan center, and bungee-jumping at Victoria Falls.

More recently, Jeannette traveled back to Southern Africa where she volunteered as a swimming instructor at Camp Sizanani, for children infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, outside Johannesburg. Now living in Boulder, Colorado, Jeannette spends her free time skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, backpacking, and planning adventures. She is excited to continue exploring the world herself, but she also loves helping others have great travel experiences.
