Custom Family Yellowstone Adventure

A Fun-Filled Family Adventure into America’s Favorite National Park!
Sunrise on the Grand Tetons Mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The shear magnificence of these mountains is due to the absence of any foothills or lower peaks which obscure the view, like this famous one at Oxbow Bend.
After a day exploring Jackson Hole, we’ll float the placid Snake River in the Tetons’ shadow as the sun descends behind their jagged summits. Keep your eyes open for wildlife along the river's edge.
No trip to Yellowstone would be complete without a stop at Old Faithful geyser – which erupts, on the average, every 65 to 90 minutes. Old Faithful, a natural phenomenon, tosses a scalding curtain of water twenty to seventy-five feet in the air.
On this adventure, your family will stay in Western-motif accommodations that bring you as close as possible to the wildlife of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
Yellowstone's Hayden Valley is a favorite grazing area for large herds of bison and elk. Elk are the most abundant large mammals found in Yellowstone, and paleontological evidence confirms their continuous presence for at least one thousand years.
Spouting geysers; meandering elk, moose, and bison; steam vents; and Western sunsets. A Yellowstone adventure is family entertainment for children of all ages.
Grizzly and black bears are active primarily during the night and at dawn or dusk. We'll always maintain a safe distance of at least 300 feet from large animals.
The bison (often referred to as buffalo) is truly a majestic animal. An adult bull bison may be six feet tall at the shoulder and weigh 2,000 pounds. Females look like the males except that they are smaller and have more slender horns. Bison mate from July through early August, and the calves are born in April and May.
Yellowstone is packed with geothermal features. Many with raised platforms allowing us access via short hikes, like this one at Fountain Paint Pots.
The Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States. The vivid colors in the spring are the result of pigmented bacteria in the microbial mats that grow around the edges of the mineral-rich water.
We'll be sure to stay on the trail!
We generally welcome children ages 6 and older on all of our Family Trips. However, while some six-year-olds are well-suited for some or all of our Family adventures, others may not be ready for the requirements of group travel. For this reason, we believe it is more useful to consider this age limit a guideline rather than a hard and fast rule.
Yellowstone and Grand Tetons together combine beautiful scenery, half of the earth’s geothermal features, and a vast collection of wildlife, making this a perfect destination for your family's next nature adventure – right here in your own back yard!
