Work alongside children at a local nursery school doing volunteer work according to specific needs
Our Voluntourism Extensions are designed to bring our guests into an environment to help local people and wildlife. NHA does not earn money on these extensions. Rather, local organizations run these programs with the goal being to gain assistance from our travelers as well as some income to help them perform their work. Please be aware that these extensions, while fun and rewarding, may not operate on the same quality level as a Natural Habitat expedition.

This voluntourism opportunity offers a chance to help with a variety of needs at a nursery school in one of Quito's neediest neighborhoods. Young children spend a full day here while their mothers are at work, and we'll have plenty of time to talk, laugh and have fun with them as we work side by side, or help them with their class work. This two-day project provides a rare chance to see another side of Quito, and affirms the value of generous hands and hearts as our work makes possible small but meaningful transformations.

Accommodations, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners, services of an NHA local guide, safe drinking water, transfers, all sales taxes.
Not Included
Travel to and from start and end point of trip, beverages (except soft drinks with meals), gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes, optional travel insurance.
Important Information
This extension can be offered on a custom basis on weekdays year-round, except national holidays. During times when school is not in session, passengers will visit the nursery instead.
Getting There & Getting Home
This program will begin in Quito on the morning of Day 1, and conclude in Quito after breakfast on Day 3.
