Introducing...Natural Habitat Expeditions!
“Explorers’ Corner”…what does this enigmatic phrase mean?
Well, the explanation may be a little obscure, but we think it is quite appropriate. You see, every old classic library has a dusty corner where leather-bound books and wrinkled maps sit untouched…most of the time. Then, on occasion, a true adventurer walks in and scours those maps for hours on end, plotting destinations and gauging travel distances. Perhaps this is just for academic interest, but we like to think that the explorer is carefully planning, point by point, their next great adventure. This is the genesis of the award-winning adventure company, Explorers’ Corner - a group of dedicated adventurers pouring over maps, painstakingly arranging detailed expeditions for the serious traveler.
Now, 12 years after its inception, the name Explorers’ Corner is leaving us, but Olaf Malver and the many journeys he has carefully crafted will live on in the form of Natural Habitat Expeditions, a cooperative collection of specialized authentic nature-based trips run within the family of Natural Habitat Adventures. Some of the old classics are still around, like the exclusive point-to-point kayaking and hiking Galapagos adventure and our unique Antarctic exploration aboard private sailing vessel. And we’ve added some new ones, such as the Footsteps of the Maasai, a foot-based safari led through the lush Loita Hills of Kenya by our Expedition Leader and a group of Maasai warriors and their donkeys.
So as you explore your own personal style of travel, consider the “experience” rather than just the amenity, the “uniqueness” instead of the luxury…and consider a Natural Habitat Expeditions journey alongside your friends at Explorers’ Corner.
