Bhutan: Spirit & Nature - NEW ITINERARY!
A natural and cultural odyssey into the Lost Kingdom
The Kingdom of Bhutan is one of the world’s little known treasures. Here in the “Land of the Thunder Dragon,” quality of life is measured in terms of Gross National Happiness, rather than purely material measures – though Bhutan’s citizens live comfortable, serene lives. Until quite recently this tiny country remained in splendid isolation, dedicated to preserving its deep Buddhist traditions and pristine landscapes. Now, a small number of guests each year are invited to discover Bhutan’s natural and cultural wonders. Join us on a journey among ancient monasteries and temples, Himalayan peaks and glacial rivers, rare wildlife and extraordinary people.
- Join our professional Expedition Leader on an intimate insider’s discovery of the culture and traditions of the world’s most peaceable kingdom
- Journey over two Himalayan passes and into Bhutan’s bucolic valleys for a full overview of this captivating country
- Visit Taktsang Monastery, the famous “Tiger’s Nest” perched half a mile up on an impossibly sheer mountain cliff

Important Information
Bhutan is a country very much focused on humankind’s relationship with nature. Though the mountain scenery is some of the most appealing on the planet, it is rare to see much wildlife in Bhutan. We will, however, take advantage of the available wildlife and focus on the astonishing beauty and unique culture of this region.
Getting There & Getting Home
We have pre-booked spaces for our guests on a roundtrip flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Paro, Bhutan, and you are required to pay for this when booking the trip. (The schedules are not currently confirmed.) You should plan to arrive in Bangkok one day prior to the tour and depart on the final day after 11pm. We recommend that you stay an extra night in Bangkok to account for any flight delays. We can best serve you if Natural Habitat Adventures' Travel Desk makes these reservations, as we are intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient travel. Please call us at 1-800-543-8917.
