Scotland's Wild Highlands & Islands
A Journey into the Heart of One of Europe's Last Great Wildernesses
During a far northern summer, as the days stretch toward almost perpetual light, the Hebrides Islands off Scotland’s far northwest coast are a flurry of life. Millions of seabirds nest in some of the largest rookeries in the world, while whales and seals feed in clear waters warmed by the Gulf Stream. As we explore the coves and cliffs of the Outer Hebrides, we also find remnants of ancient human culture, from Iron Age stone forts to embellished Celtic crosses. Inland, the rugged Highlands abound with life in the boreal forest and heather moorlands. Come, discover wild, mystical Scotland.

Important Information
Our special Scotland journey is designed unlike others, purposely taking our guests away from the most crowded areas and into the traditional, more wild locales that unveil for us of the rich natural and cultural history this remarkable northern country has to offer. Accordingly, we stay in off-the-beaten-path authentic accommodations – extremely comfortable, but perhaps slightly less spacious than those accommodations found in North America – and spend time in nature amidst Scotland’s most awe-inspiring sites. Please be prepared for the outdoors and the unpredictable weather of this region, which may include heavy rain and wind or perfect sunshine.
Getting There & Getting Home
Arrive in Edinburgh by 6pm on Day 1 for a welcome dinner. You may depart Edinburgh anytime after 6pm on the final day. We are prepared to handle all your round-trip travel arrangements. We can serve you best if Natural Habitat Adventures’ Travel Desk makes these reservations for you, as they are intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient and cost effective travel for you.
