Antarctica, Falklands & South Georgia

A thrilling and comprehensive exploration of this remote part of the world.

Trip Overview
  • Sail in the path of intrepid Shackleton, who pioneered exploration of Antarctica
  • Walk among a million king penguins on glacier-bound South Georgia island
  • Encounter the Antarctic Peninsula’s magnificent marine life close-up by Zodiac

The frigid sea and icy islands of the South Atlantic are a prelude to the vast white wilderness that awaits at the bottom of the world – yet they are just as captivating in their own right. On this comprehensive Antarctic expedition, we explore the remote wilderness and wildlife of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia in addition to our time on the Antarctic Peninsula. The entire region abounds with whales, seals, king penguins, seabirds, indescribable landscapes and legendary history, and we embrace it all on this three-week voyage to Antarctica. Expert guides, naturalists and geologists accompany us for an unparalleled Antarctic expedition to this remote wilderness.

NHA offers a variety of ships, itineraries and price options for independent travelers that are guaranteed to suit your needs. Our experienced Adventure Specialists are unbiased and have embarked on this Antarctic expedition many times. Allow us to help you explore the many options! Call us: 1-800-543-8917.

In addition to our week of exploration in Antarctica, this voyage incorporates a few days in the wildlife-rich Falkland Islands and six days in South Georgia, an island abundant in wildlife, scenic beauty and history (including the grave of legendary explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton). Our naturalist staff loves South Georgia – the spectacular scenery and the sight of millions of stately king penguins are absolutely unforgettable. We travel with a team of top Expedition Leaders, naturalists, geologists and polar experts. The knowledge and enthusiasm displayed by the experienced staff will greatly enhance your exploration of this remote wilderness.
