50 Years of Victory

50 Years of Victory is the world's largest, most sophisticated and most powerful nuclear icebreaker. Twenty years in construction, 50 Years of Victory is the first Arktika-class icebreaker to have a spoon-shaped bow. Boosting her efficiency is an all-new automated digital control system. The ship, designed with a stainless steel ice belt 18 feet wide, can break through ice up to 9.2 feet thick. The icebreaker is driven by two nuclear reactors that produce 75,000 horsepower. In open water, her top speed can reach 21.4 knots. Complete with a fleet of Zodiacs and a helicopter for shore excursions, Victory is a ship like none other, with the ability to go where other ships cannot.

Victory can accommodate 128 guests and a crew and staff of 140. All guest cabins have exterior views, en suite facilities, TV and DVD player. Some cabins have coffee makers and safes. 50 Years of Victory provides ample public space, featuring an aft saloon and forward lounge, in addition to a bar (all drinks are included) and polar library, with books on Arctic exploration for browsing. The aft saloon converts from a presentation room during the day to a space to dance and socialize in the evening. An onboard chef prepares excellent meals served in the open-seating dining room. For recreation and relaxing, there is a small indoor pool, two saunas and a gym with windows so you won’t miss a moment of passing scenery as you exercise. A shop and massage services provide other diversions.
