Classic Yellowstone Wildlife Safari

A Small-Group Guided Exploration of the Wildlife & Beauty of Yellowstone in the Spring and Fall
Grand Teton National Park is famous for spectacular mountain scenery and wildlife. Moose and elk occasionally graze in open aspen groves and graze on abundant willows.Moose are among the most spectacular sights in the region.Yellowstone National Park, sometimes referred to as the "Serengeti of the North," is one of the best places to view wildlife in the lower forty-eight states. Established in 1872, it is America's first national park.A very important feature of this off-the-beaten-path guided tour is the limited group size, as nature expeditions are best experienced with smaller groups of travelers.Old Faithful is the world's most famous geyser. Although it's the most photographed and most talked about, it is not the largest or grandest geyser in Yellowstone.Yellowstone contains over three hundred geysers, over half of the known geysers in the world.Yellowstone's vast collection of thermal features provides a constant reminder of the park's recent volcanic past. Watch your step!Elevated walkways throughout the park allow you to safely stroll around the many geysers.Megafauna found in Yellowstone include the majestic American bison, grizzly bear, black bear, elk, moose, mule deer, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, and mountain lion.It is not uncommon to see brown and black bears on the same day in Yellowstone. It's also not uncommon to see new cubs with their moms.Gray wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park in 1995. The reintroduction has been widely heralded as a great success. After the wolves were extirpated from Yellowstone, their smaller cousins, the coyotes, became the park's top predator. The wolves that were reintroduced in 1995 and 1996 thrived, and there are now over three hundred of their descendents living in the Greater Yellowstone Area. We may see them in the Lamar Valley. With all of the animals and natural wonders in America's first national park, Yellowstone is a must-see destination for the nature traveler.
