Wild Colorado - New Trip!
Explore the vast wilderness of Colorado discovering pristine mountains, lakes and historic towns!
Trip Overview
- Listen for bugling elk amid golden aspen during a Rocky Mountain National Park autumn
- Overnight at a secluded mountain chalet in the historic 10th Mountain Division hut system
- Traverse the Continental Divide amid some of the highest alpine landscapes in North America
With 53 summits over 14,000 feet – known locally as ‘Fourteeners’ -- Colorado deserves its reputation as “Top of the Rockies.” It’s a challenge to create an itinerary that captures the best of such a vast and superlative mountain realm, but this one surely does. We take you up and over jaw-dropping passes, down into glacial-carved valleys, along snow-fed rivers, and through mountain meadows home to elk and bear. Bighorn sheep canter along rocky escarpments, and eagles soar over stands of quaking aspen. Colorado’s Rocky Mountains are legendary, and for good reason. Come with us, and discover for yourself.
