Whales & Bears of Alaska's Southeast

An Expertly Guided Small-Group Wildlife Adventure through Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness
We begin our Alaskan adventure in the lovely town of Sitka, where our private boat excursion through the surrounding scenic waters affords us the opportunity to observe up to four species of whales, as well as sea otters, sea lions and bald eagles.St. Lazaria Island is a designated National Wildlife Refuge for sea birds, including puffins, black oystercatchers and over 250,000 pairs of breeding storm petrels.Discover unique marine creatures in the tidepools along the shore.A visit to Alaska’s Raptor Center brings us up close and personal with some of the state’s most interesting wildlife.From Sitka we travel to Gustavus, the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park, where we are greeted by an array of colorful wildflowers.In Glacier Bay we have the opportunity to spot a number of large mammals, including moose, mountain goats and grizzly bears.Kayak along the shores of Point Adolphus......one of the world's best places to encounter humpbacks and other whales.Take a walk on the Juneau Ice field, the 5th largest in the western hemisphere, after a scenic helicopter flight.Anan Wildlife Observatory provides a magical setting to view both grizzlies and black bears as they fish for salmon in the river.View these spectacular creatures at close range in a remote spot few people have the chance to visit.Our Southeast Alaska trip is sure to be an adventure of a lifetime!
