The canyon country of the American Southwest has long held a mythical place in the annals of grand travel adventures. From John Wesley Powell to Mary Colter to Teddy Roosevelt, these rusty landscapes have beckoned intrepid pioneers as well as everyday explorers searching for a family adventure travel experience unlike any other. No family will come away from a rose-hued sunrise at Bryce Canyon, or a night beneath the stars in Zion, or a hike along the Grand Canyon’s layered walls, without being changed in some way: moved, inspired, replenished, somehow richer for it. That’s the gift of our national parks, and these three are among the most generous givers.

Southern Utah and Northern Arizona
Group Size Limit: Approximately 16 Travelers
A very important feature of our family adventure travel tours to the American Southwest is the limited group size as nature expeditions are best experienced with smaller sized groups of travelers.
Included
All accommodations, meals from dinner on Day 1 through breakfast on the final day, all land transportation as described in the itinerary, all permits and park fees, services of NHA’s Expedition Leader & Youth Coordinator.
Not Included
Travel to and from St. George, Utah, optional excursions, alcoholic beverages, items of a personal nature (phone calls, laundry, etc), travel insurance, gratuities.
Physical Requirements
Moderate / Flexible
Our Youth Coordinator will plan your family safari to your family’s desired activity level. Our walks/hikes in Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon are moderate in physical exertion. Some gain in altitude is required in some locations, however travelers are not required to participate in all excursions.
Getting There & Getting Home
You should arrive in time to join your group for your welcome dinner at 7:00 pm on Day 1 in St. George, Utah. You are free to depart in the afternoon after 1:30 pm on the final day.
