Canyons & Beyond
An adventure to the natural wonders of America's Southwest!
Trip Overview
- Gaze into the Grand Canyon’s storied depths from the less-visited North Rim
- Wander through the spires, pinnacles and hoodoos of Bryce Canyon’s fantastic landscape
- Discover the soaring walls and many colors of Zion, cut by the clear Virgin River
The landscape of the American Southwest has long captivated artists, writers and photographers who have sought to arrest its drama in image or word. Standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon’s 5,000-foot precipice, searching the depths below for a glimpse of the Colorado River’s silver ribbon, you’ll soon realize that no work of art can compare. Remarkably diverse but no less moving are the marvels of neighboring Bryce and Zion. We explore all three on this classic Western adventure, enjoying stays in historic park lodges en route.

Important Information about This Trip
On this trip we’ll see a side of the American Southwest that most casual tourists miss. The main goal of our experienced Expedition Leaders is to get our travelers to less-visited areas away from crowds in order to experience the wildlife and natural grandeur of the canyon lands in the most remote and secluded manner possible. Specific dates cannot be booked with the National Parks until August (for the following year). Trip dates listed are likely to change slightly and will be confirmed at that time. Depending upon availability, itineraries may run in a different order.
Getting There & Getting Home You should arrive in time to join your group for an orientation at 6:00 pm on Day 1 in St. George, Utah. You are free to depart in the afternoon after 1:30 pm on the final day.
Wild Patagonia An all-encompassing expedition into the best of Patagonia! Visit Peninsula Valdez, Fitz Roy Mount, Torres del Paine, and much more.
