A Small-Group Photography Adventure into the Remote Southern Africa Wilds
"My first visit to Africa will always be the trip that was "over the top!" I've been doing some serious traveling for the past few years, 4 trips a year for the last two years of 2-3 weeks' duration, and everyone always asks, "What was your favorite trip?" Until now, I've always replied that they were all wonderful in their own ways and it was hard to pick just one as my favorite. That is no longer a difficult question to answer -- after the Botswana safari, I can now say this trip has exceeded everything else I have done and pushed itself right up into the top position! Seeing the wildlife in Botswana was truly life changing. To sit beside a lion resting 5 feet away, watch a herd of elephants crossing a field through the tall grasses, witness zebras kicking up dust as they playfully chase each other around a water hole, seeing a baby giraffe kick up its heels and dash towards its mother --- I could go on and on but one can't really fathom the majesty, no matter how many documentaries seen, until they have sat in the midst and witnessed the behavior of the free roaming creatures of Africa!"
“Our guide did an outstanding job of getting the vehicle in the right light for photos.”
"In terms of camps. Mombo and Tswalu were both just above and beyond what I could've imagined. So much to highlight; seeing tiny leopards and the meerkats (and getting to walk with them as they chose a den for the night), seeing 3 leopards in one day (Chitabe I think), spending a lot of time with the famous leopard at Mombo, watching wild dogs play after having just made a kill (and we saw this pack more than once), seeing cheetah, following 5 lions one morning, seeing baby elephants and baby giraffe, seeing a Marshall eagle with a kill, etc."
