Natural Habitat Adventures’ custom Kenya and Tanzania explorer trip takes you to the Africa of the imagination. Great herds of animals roam across the Serengeti Plain, beneath a blank blue sky. Giraffes raise their graceful necks to browse in the acacia trees, and zebras congregate in a maze of stripes around precious watering holes. Mt. Kilimanjaro rises on the horizon behind our remote tented camp in the Masai Mara. At night, tucked beneath canvas under a spread of stars, we hear a lion roar, the sound carrying far across the African savannah. The magnetism of East Africa is strong. In Tanzania and Kenya, we find all we’ve imagined, as it once was and still is.

There is no strenuous activity involved while on safari, however, a safari vehicle can sometimes offer a bumpy ride.
Getting There & Getting Home
From December to June arrive in Nairobi on Day 1 at any time and depart from Arusha after 3 pm on the final day. From July to November arrive in Arusha at any time on Day 1 and depart Nairobi after 3 pm on the final day. Important Information on Your Game Drives
Your African safari game drives take place in the highest quality, 4-wheel drive Land Rovers and Land Cruisers, providing up-close encounters that cannot be accomplished in typical safari vans. This is a very important feature of our safaris. These vehicles have fully removable tops which provide a full 360- degree view of the game. Since every passenger is guaranteed a window seat, you are assured you will have plenty of space for wildlife viewing and taking photographs.

Your safari is customized to meet your needs and is priced according to length of trip, camps chosen and time of year. Our Adventure Specialists have been to these camps many times and will use their extensive expertise to assist you in choosing the safari that best meets your desires. This is a custom trip, departing anytime on demand with a minimum of two travelers.
Seasonal Information
For Tanzania, the best months to travel to Tarangire are July though November. The migration in the Serengeti takes place from December through to June with the wildebeest calving in February and March, but is dependent on the rains. Mating takes place in May and June and is also a good time to travel there. The rainy season in Kenya is April through May as well as November but it is still a wonderful time for a safari as there are fewer visitors and the savannahs are green and lush. The migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya takes place in August and September but is also dependent on the rains.
