Ocean Diamond: Antarctica, Falklands & South Georgia

The Ocean Diamond is a sleek, modern, stable super-yacht—a polar expedition vessel beautifully designed for traveling to Antarctica. Because the Ocean Diamond is faster than most other tourist vessels making the voyage, its passengers will gain an additional 12 hours accessing the wildlife, rugged beauty and adventure activities an Antarctic expedition has to offer. The newly refurbished 406-foot-long ship carries a maximum of 189 passengers. Seven classes of accommodations offer a variety of single, twin and triple cabin and suite configurations. All cabins have en-suite facilities, outside views, flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Suites also have private outdoor balconies. An elevator provides access between decks. The Ocean Diamond’s staff and crew of 144 provide a nearly one-to-one ratio with guests, ensuring outstanding service. The vessel’s onboard facilities and amenities are impressive. In addition to an excellent restaurant and bar, the Ocean Diamond has a theater-style auditorium for "Expert-in-Residence" lectures by polar researchers and scientists, a Polar Library well stocked with books and DVDs, a photography program that includes the services of a resident photography instructor, a clinic with licensed doctor, a Massage & Wellness program offering yoga classes, aromatherapy treatments and massage therapy. Every traveler aboard the Ocean Diamond receives a free one-year enrollment in the Friends of Scott Polar Research Institute association, along with a financial contribution to the institute from the ship.
