Hidden along the banks of the one of the Luangwa Valley’s ubiquitous oxbow lagoons, under the shade of ebony and fig trees, is Mfuwe Lodge. The open plan central lodge facility incorporates reception, lounge, dining and bar areas, under a thatch roof supported by palm poles and dominated by two impressive chimneys at opposite ends.
The Lodge has 18 en-suite, open plan thatched chalets each with its own private decking area and superb attention to detail. Each sunken bath has a private view of the lagoon. For quieter moments, escape to the nature conservation library's deck shaded by giant ebony trees or catch the sun next to the pool on the large wooden deck overlooking the lagoon.
