Kuyenda Bush Camp
Manzi River, South Luangwa
Kuyenda, an authentic, old-style safari bush camp, is nestled among a grove of evergreen Natal mahogany trees, next to the Manzi River in South Luangwa National Park.
The camp accommodates eight travelers in four thatched rondavel chalets, each with a large, comfortable bed and open-air en-suite bathrooms with flush toilet, twin basins and a bucket shower. The front of each tree house is open to a 180° vista , providing an exciting frame through which to witness the diversity and beauty of the Luangwa Valley wilderness.
Kuyenda is located in one of the best areas of South Luangwa for walking safaris. Phil Berry, who runs the camp, is one of Africa’s most renowned safari guides, and there is nothing like a bush walk under his direction. Game drives are also offered, to see even more of the area’s prolific wildlife. The many areas guests may explore in search of wildlife include open plains with quicksand bogs, palm islands, salt springs, and the banks of the Luangwa River.
