Kapamba River, South Luangwa
Kapamba is located in the far southern reaches of Luangwa Park, making it one of the most remote camps in South Luangwa. Due to its prime location on the picturesque Kapamba River, guests have the chance to explore an especially captivating and untouched corner of the national park.
Accommodating just eight travelers, the open-front design of the four stone and thatch chalets provides stunning views of the river. Each chalet has a large en-suite bathroom with a sunken stone bath for two and spacious shower with open-front, allowing you to watch the hippos bathe in the river below, while you do also!
Kapamba Camp offers both game drives and walking safaris, with the latter exceptionally renowned. Numerous trails follow the river, and your armed personal guide assures a fascinating and safe experience. While you will see plains game, including impala and puku, the highlights of wildlife viewing around the camp are the endemic Thornycroft’s giraffe, lion, elephant and leopard.
